The staff of the Jirapa Municipal Education Directorate joined the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Peter N. N. To-ang as he visited some selected Basic schools in the Jirapa Municipality as part of the My First Day at School celebration.
The first day at school is a memorable and exciting occasion that marks the beginning of a child’s educational journey.
The schools visited by the MCE and the team included Konzokala Primary School and Duori Primary School.
During the visit, Hon. Peter N. N. TO-ANG welcomed the new pupils to school and congratulated them on beginning this important stage of their education.
He encouraged them to be regular and punctual at school and to listen to and obey the instructions of their teachers and parents at home.
He also encouraged them to study hard, remain disciplined, and take their education seriously.
Honourable Peter N. N. To-ang reminded them that with hard work, discipline, and determination, they will grow up to become the next generation of medical doctors, teachers, nurses, farmers, lawyers, engineers, and other professionals who will contribute to the development of our beloved Municipality and the country at large.
As part of the celebration, the Honourable MCE presented soft drinks, biscuits, and toffees to the K1, KG, and Basic 1 learners.
The visit also provided an opportunity for the Honourable MCE to interact with teachers. He encouraged them to continue giving their best in educating and nurturing the learners entrusted to their care.
