On Friday May 15, 2026, the MCE, Hon. Peter N. N. To-ang presented cheques to some Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) in the municipality.
A total of 50 persons will receive the support following careful and fair scrutiny, vetting and approval of their applications to the assembly for financial assistance to help them with business and educational activities.
Beneficiaries received varying amounts ranging from GH₵1,500.00 to GH₵4,000.00.
Honourable Peter N. N. To-ang encouraged them to use the money wisely by investing it in productive and income-generating activities, as stated in their application letters.
He respectfully reminded them that only new applications will be considered in future disbursement exercises, hence the need for them to make good use of the support given to them.
The MCE encouraged all eligible persons not to hesitate in applying for support from the District Assembly Assembly Common Fund component for Persons With Disabilities. He reiterated the assembly’s commitment to improving the welfare of all residents, especially vulnerable groups in the municipality.
