Honourable MCE, Peter N. N. To-ang joined the Member of Parliament, Hon. Cletus Seidu Dapilah, to donate essential educational materials to first-year students from the Jirapa Municipality.
The beneficiaries are the 2026 BECE candidates who sat for the examination in the Jirapa Municipality, excelled, and gained admission to pursue their secondary education in various second-cycle institutions.
The distribution of the materials has commenced, and all first-year students will benefit from this support from the MP.
Each first-year student will receive a high-density student mattress, a bucket, a metallic trunk, a mathematical set, three pens, and ten exercise books.
Honourable Peter N. N. To-ang commended the Honourable MP for this laudable initiative. He noted that the donation will help ease the financial burden on parents and guardians as their wards begin a new chapter in their educational journey.
In his brief speech during the ceremony, the Honourable MCE encouraged the students to make good use of the items donated to them. He reminded them that, “to whom much is given, much is expected.” He therefore urged them to take their studies seriously, as the future of Jirapa lies in their hands.
To the parents and guardians, Honourable Peter urged them to continue supporting their wards as they begin this fresh chapter of their education.
He also called on individuals, organisations, and all stakeholders to contribute in whatever way they can towards improving the educational outcomes of our learners, particularly in the BECE and WASSCE.
