The Executives of the various subcommittees held a meeting on 20th April 2026 to review recommendations emanating their meetings.
The adopted recommendations to be presented to the General Assembly includes the following;
- Social Services Subcommittee;
- The National Identification Authority officer requested to make a presentation to the General Assembly
- The Birth and Death Registry Office was also recommended to be made disability-friendly.
- Works Subcommittee;
- Renovation and furnishing of some Heads of Department Bungalows (Health Director and Magistrate)
- Budgeting for Construction of a new court building
- Reshaping of selected roads with DRIP equipment
- Justice and Security Subcommittee;
- Community sensitization on procedures for approval and construction of speed humps on access road in the municipality to prevent loss of lives
- Installation and fixing of street lights on sub-roads within the municipality
- Development Planning Subcommittee;
- Revenue check point to be established at Hain
- WASH facilities to be improved at all Senior High Schools through the WaterAid support
- Renovation of Health Directors Bungalow and other Health Centres
- Finance and Administration Subcommittee;
- Management should contract Land Valuation Division of the Lands Commission to value commercial properties and first-class building in the Municipality for Property Rate Billing and Collection
- Rent defaulters to be invited to meet F&A Subcommittee in a meeting summoned by Management in May, 2026
- Agriculture Subcommittee;
- Agriculture Department should often brief the Committee on inputs received and modality for distribution.
