The Executive Committee meeting adopts recommendations for discussion at the GA

The Executives of the various subcommittees held a meeting on 20th April 2026 to review recommendations emanating their meetings.

The adopted recommendations to be presented to the General Assembly includes the following;

1. Social Services Subcommittee;
   1.  The National Identification Authority officer requested to make a presentation to the General Assembly
   1. The Birth and Death Registry Office was also recommended to be made disability-friendly.
2. Works Subcommittee;
   1. Renovation and furnishing of some Heads of Department Bungalows (Health Director and Magistrate)
   1. Budgeting for Construction of a new court building
   1. Reshaping of selected roads with DRIP equipment
3. Justice and Security Subcommittee;
   1. Community sensitization on procedures for approval and construction of speed humps on access road in the municipality to prevent loss of lives
   1. Installation and fixing of street lights on sub-roads within the municipality
4. Development Planning Subcommittee;
   1. Revenue check point to be established at Hain
   1. WASH facilities to be improved at all Senior High Schools through the WaterAid support
   1. Renovation of Health Directors Bungalow and other Health Centres
5. Finance and Administration Subcommittee;
   1. Management should contract Land Valuation Division of the Lands Commission to value commercial properties and first-class building in the Municipality for Property Rate Billing and Collection
   1. Rent defaulters to be invited to meet F&A Subcommittee in a meeting summoned by Management in May, 2026
6. Agriculture Subcommittee;
   1. Agriculture Department should often brief the Committee on inputs received and modality for distribution.
