the Honourable Municipal Chief Executive, Peter N. N. To-ang served as the Guest of Honour at the 69th Independence Day celebration held at the Naayiri park in Jirapa.
The celebration held under the theme: “Building Prosperity, Restoring Hope.” was attended by traditional rulers, the clergy, heads of departments, the security, health workers, teachers, school children and many others.
In a brief address at the event, the Honourable Municipal Chief Executive stated that as a people, the journey toward prosperity is continuous, and the responsibility to restore is a collective one.
He therefore called on the people of the Jirapa Municipality to recommit themselves to building a stronger, safer, and more prosperous Jirapa Municipality.
He expressed hope and expectation that the people will continue to move forward in unity and that our collective efforts will yield sustainable development.
